How team owners bid remotely
Team page bidding lets owners who are not in the room bid for their own team from their phone. You still run the auction from the live screen; their bids appear there the moment they tap, alongside the bids you take in the room.

Quick steps
- On the Auction Details tab, switch on Enable in the team page bidding box.
- On the Teams tab of your auction page, select Copy all team links and send each owner their link.
- Owners open the link on their phone and log in with the mobile number saved as their team’s owner contact.
- When a player is on the block, the owner taps the bid button to bid the amount it shows.
- You close each player with Sold or Unsold on the live screen as usual; the owner’s purse and squad update instantly.

Turn it on (organizer)
Enable
RequiredThe switch in the team page bidding box on the Auction Details tab. When it is on, each team owner can bid for their own team from their team page, on their own phone, while the auction is live.
- Off by default for every new auction.
- When on, the box reads "Team owners and admins can place bids from the team detail page during a live auction". When off, it reads "Bidding from the team detail page is disabled".
- No extra plan or credits are needed. Any organizer of the auction can switch it.
- Switch it on before you start the live auction. If an owner already had their team page open, a refresh shows the button straight away.
Copy all team links
OptionalOn the Teams tab of your auction page: copies every team’s name with its own team page link. Send each owner their team’s link.
- The link is the same for everyone. Only the team’s owner gets a bid button on it; anyone else just sees the team.
Bidding from the phone (team owner)
Waiting for next player
RequiredOwners open their team page link and log in with their mobile number. The bid strip only appears for the account whose mobile number is the team’s owner contact.
- Team staff numbers saved on the team also get the strip. So do the auction’s organizers, on every team page.
- Any other account sees the team page without a bid button.
- Shown while no player is on the block, and again after each Sold or Unsold.
Example: Bay Hawks, owner contact 98765 00090
Base
OptionalWhen the organizer puts a player on the block, the owner’s phone shows the player’s name, number, role and category, with their base price.
- In a category auction, the base price is the category’s base bid.
Current bid
OptionalThe bid on the block right now, and which team holds it (Highest bid by). Both update as soon as anyone bids, from the live screen or another phone.
Bid
RequiredThe button reads your team name, Bid and the exact amount it will place, for example Bay Hawks · Bid · 70. One tap places that bid; there is no confirm step.
- The first bid on a player is the base price. After that, the button offers the current bid plus one increment from your bidding rules (flat or tiered).
- The bid only counts when the server confirms it. Then you see "Bid of 70 placed for Bay Hawks on …".
- If no confirmation arrives within about 8 seconds, the phone says "Bid not confirmed. Please check the current bid and try again."
- If two teams bid the same amount at the same moment, the first one to reach the server wins. The other owner sees an error such as "Error processing bid: Bid amount must be greater than 60" and the button moves to the next amount.
Example: Bay Hawks · Bid · 70
Your team has the current bid
OptionalShown when your team holds the bid. The button is locked, so you cannot outbid yourself; it unlocks when another team bids.
Remaining purse
OptionalAfter the organizer selects Sold, your Remaining purse, Max Bid and Players update on the page without a refresh, and the strip goes back to waiting.
- There is no bid timer, pass button or turn order. The organizer closes every player with Sold or Unsold on the live screen.
- Once the auction ends, the strip is replaced by an Auction Ended banner.
Why the bid button is grey
Team is full
OptionalThe squad already has the maximum players per team.
No points remaining
OptionalThe team has spent its whole purse.
Max bid is
OptionalThe next bid is more than the team can spend on this player. The max bid keeps back enough base bids to fill the minimum squad.
Example: Max bid is 120
You must fulfill minimum player requirements for other categories before bidding on this player.
OptionalCategory auctions only: buying this player would leave too few squad slots to meet another category’s minimum.
- Category limits also show their own reason, for example "Team has reached maximum limit of 2 players in Gold category" or "This bid exceeds the maximum budget for Gold category".
Connecting to auction…
OptionalThe phone has lost its connection to the auction. Bids are not sent until it reconnects.
On your live screen (organizer)
This team has the current bid
OptionalAn owner’s bid lands on your live screen straight away: the team and amount show on the player on the block, and Sold becomes available. The team holding the bid has its button locked, with this tooltip.
- You can still bid for any team from the live screen as usual, for example for owners who are in the room.
- Unsold is disabled once anyone has bid, whether the bid came from a phone or the live screen.
- While a team holds the bid, the + / – stepper is hidden on your live screen too, so a team’s own bid can’t be raised. The next bid must come from another team.
Common mistakes
- An owner sees no bid button? Check the team’s owner contact matches the number they log in with, and that team page bidding is on.
- Switch the setting on before starting the live auction, and ask owners to refresh their team page if it was already open.
- The button bids the exact amount it shows. If another team bids first, the amount moves up and the owner taps again.
- There is no timer or pass. Give remote owners a moment before you select Sold.
