How to set up auction details
Auction Details is where you set the money and squad rules: opening price, bid raises, team purses and squad sizes. You can also edit everything from Create Auction here, set registration deadlines and split players into categories.

Missing Info
OptionalYour setup checklist. It lists what is still missing (team structure, teams and players to register, payment methods), with a link to the right tab for each item.
- Players needed = Total Teams × Min Players Per Team. With 8 teams of at least 11, the checklist asks for 88 players.
- Start Auction stays disabled while anything is listed here.
AI Setup Assistance
OptionalSuggests the next setup step: fill Auction Details, then payments, player registration and team registration. Select Setup to jump there or Later to skip the step.
Important Link
OptionalShareable links for this auction. View Auction is always here. Team and player registration links appear once registration is turned on, and overlay and projector links once the auction is live.
WhatsApp Notification
OptionalWhatsApp updates for this auction. The 12th Men support team turns this on for you. Once it is on, you can turn it off yourself.
Start Auction
OptionalOpens the theme picker. Saving the theme starts the auction and takes you to the live auction screen.
- Disabled until Missing Info is cleared.
- A category-based auction can’t start until it has at least one category.
Team Structure
Do you need dynamic bidding?
OptionalOff: every raise is the same flat Bid Increment. On: you set different increments for different price ranges, for example +50 up to 999 and +100 from 1,000.
- Turning it on makes your flat Bid Increment the first tier.
- Turning it off asks “Switch to flat bidding?” and clears your tiers. You then enter a flat Bid Increment again. Base Bid is kept.
Base Bid
RequiredThe opening price for every player. Players in a category open at that category’s base bid instead.
- Required, also with dynamic bidding on.
- The amount is spelled out in words under the field.
Example: 100
Bid Increment
RequiredHow much each new bid adds. With dynamic bidding on, each price range (tier) has its own Bid Increment.
- Must be 1 or more, in every tier.
- Shows “Bid increment is required” when empty.
Example: 50
Range From
OptionalWhere a tier starts. The first tier always starts at ₹0. Select + to add a tier; set Range To on the row above and the next tier’s Range From follows (999 → 1,000).
- Each tier must start higher than the one before (“Range from must be greater than …”).
- The last tier has no upper limit. “All applicable ranges” sums up your tiers.
Total Teams
RequiredHow many teams you expect. The checklist asks you to register this many teams.
- Whole number, 1 or more.
Example: 8
Points Per Team
RequiredEach team’s purse for the whole auction. Teams spend these points on players.
- 1 or more.
- Can’t be lower than any category’s Max Points Per Team.
Example: 10000
Min Players Per Team
RequiredThe smallest squad a team must finish with.
- 1 or more, and not more than Max Players Per Team.
- In a category-based auction it must be at least the sum of all category minimums.
Example: 11
Max Players Per Team
RequiredThe largest squad a team can buy.
- 1 or more.
- A category’s max players can’t be higher than this.
Example: 15
Player Registration End Date
OptionalThe last moment players can register. After it, the player registration form is closed.
- Format DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm AM/PM.
- Must be on or before the auction start date and time (“Deadline must be on or before the auction start date”).
Team Registration End Date
OptionalThe last moment teams can register. After it, the team registration form is closed.
- Same rules as the player deadline.
Category-based auction
Category-Based Auction
OptionalSplit players into pools such as Marquee, Gold or Uncapped, each with its own squad limits, budget cap and base bid. The toggle saves straight away.
- If you have unsaved changes, turning the toggle on saves them first. If they have errors, the toggle won’t turn on.
Name
RequiredThe category name shown on player cards and in the live auction.
Example: Marquee
Min Players Per Team
RequiredHow many players from this category each team must buy.
- All category minimums added together can’t be more than the team’s Min Players Per Team.
Example: 1
Max Players Per Team
RequiredHow many players from this category each team can buy.
- Not more than the team’s Max Players Per Team.
- Min can’t be more than max.
Example: 2
Base Bid
RequiredThe opening price for players in this category. It starts as your auction’s Base Bid.
- Can’t be higher than this category’s Max Points Per Team or Points Per Team.
Example: 500
Max Points Per Team
RequiredThe most a team can spend on this category. It starts as your Points Per Team.
- More than 0 and not more than Points Per Team.
Example: 5000
Common mistakes
- Save shows “Please review the highlighted fields and try again” when something is wrong. Look for the red message under a field.
- Picking a registration end date fills in the auction start time. Change the time if registration should close earlier in the day.
- Turning off dynamic bidding clears your tiers. You will need to enter a flat Bid Increment again.
- Add categories after Team Structure is saved. Category minimums together must fit inside Min Players Per Team, and each category’s Max Points must fit inside Points Per Team.
