How to manage players
The Manage Players tab is your player list. Everyone who registers through your link appears here, and you can add players yourself, sort them into categories, update payments in bulk, import a whole squad from Excel and export the list.

Add a player
Search by name or mobile number
RequiredOpens "Search for Existing Player". Type a name or mobile number; matching 12th Men profiles appear with their photo. Pick one and select Add Player, and the form opens prefilled from that profile.
- Type at least 3 characters.
- Profiles already in this auction show "Already registered in this auction" and cannot be picked.
Example: 98765 00123
Add a Player
OptionalWhen nobody matches, enter the full mobile number and select Add a Player to open an empty form for that number. If a profile was found but it is someone else on the same number, use Add new profile.
- Only offered for a complete mobile number, not a name or part of a number.
- The mobile number in the form is locked to the number you searched.
Player form
Add Player
OptionalThe form is your auction’s own registration form, so it asks the same questions players answer through the link. Fill every field with a star and select Submit. Payment questions are skipped when you add a player yourself.
- For a profile you picked, first name, last name, mobile number and date of birth are locked.
- Date of birth is DD/MM/YYYY and must be at least three years ago.
- If the auction has no registration form, the form says so; add fields in the Player Registration tab first.
Edit one player
Category
OptionalIn a category auction, each row has a Category menu. Pick a category and it saves at once. A player’s starting bid in the live auction is their category’s base bid, set with the categories in Auction Details.
- Only shown when the auction is category based.
- Non category means the player has no category yet.
Final bid
RequiredAssigns a player to a team outside the live auction, for example to fix a result. Pick a team, enter the final bid and confirm; choose Unsold to undo a sale and refund the team. Unsold asks you to confirm first (Mark player unsold?).
- Must be greater than 0 and within the team’s remaining budget and maximum bid.
- Locked until teams exist and the auction setup has no missing information.
Bid amount
OptionalThe price a sold player went for, or “—” while they are unsold. It is view only: to change it, use Final bid from the Team menu.
Mark as Paid
OptionalShown in the Payment Status column for players who chose a payment mode. Tick it once you have received their fee.
- The Payment Status column appears only when player payments are turned on.
Edit many players
Update Categories & Payment Status
OptionalTick rows, then select Edit to set a category or payment status for all of them at once. Choose Remove Category to clear it.
- Edit, Delete and Download stay disabled until at least one row is ticked.
- Pick a category, a payment status (Mark as paid or Mark as unpaid), or both, then select Update Players.
Delete
OptionalRemoves the ticked players. Deleted players move to the Deleted players list under the table, where you can add them back (Restore asks you to confirm).
- Sold players cannot be deleted. Mark them unsold first.
Find players
Search Players
OptionalFinds players by number, name, nickname, mobile number, date of birth, payment details, category or any answer to your custom questions.
Sort by
OptionalNewest First (default) or Oldest First, by registration order.
Player status
OptionalAll Players, Sold Only or Unsold Only.
Categories
OptionalShows players in the categories you tick, with a count for each. Includes Non category.
- Only shown once the auction has categories.
Columns
OptionalChoose which table columns you see and in what order. The layout is saved for this auction.
Hide Unpaid Players
OptionalWhen on, players whose payment is still pending are hidden from the auction.
- Only filters players who picked a payment mode, and only when player payments are on.
Import and export
Import Players
OptionalAdds many players from an Excel file. Select Download Sample Excel for a template with your form’s columns, fill one player per row, then choose the file. The import runs on the server; a banner shows progress and players appear when it finishes.
- Required columns: firstName, lastName, mobileNumber and dob.
- Dates as DD/MM/YYYY, for example 16/01/1995. Future or unrealistic dates are rejected.
- Mobile numbers with the country code, for example +919876500123. Keep the column as Text in Excel.
- Only .xlsx and .xls files. Completely empty rows are skipped.
- A row with the same mobile number, first name and date of birth as an existing player updates that player instead of adding a new one.
Select Columns to Export
OptionalExports the ticked players. Pick the columns and an optional sort, then select Download PDF or Download Excel. No., photo, first and last name are always included.
- Team and Bid amount are always offered as export columns.
- Download unsold exports every unsold player, no ticking needed.
Common mistakes
- Search before adding. If the player already has a 12th Men profile, pick it so their photo and details come along.
- In the import file, type dates as DD/MM/YYYY and mobile numbers with +91. A wrong format shows the row number to fix.
- Bulk imports run in the background. Keep working; the list refreshes when the import finishes.
- Delete is not final: deleted players wait in the Deleted players list until you add them back.
- A sold player cannot be deleted. Use the Team menu to mark them unsold first.
