How to register for an auction as a player

Your organizer shares one link for player registration. Open it on your phone, log in, choose which profile is playing, fill in the form and pay the fee if there is one. You then appear in the organizer’s player list, ready for the auction.

Quick steps

  1. Open the player registration link your organizer shared and log in with your mobile number.
  2. Pick the profile that is playing, or select Add Profile.
  3. Check the prefilled details, answer the organizer’s questions and use Next to move through the steps.
  4. If there is a fee, pick a Payment Mode: Cash, Online (Proceed to Payment) or Scanner (upload your payment screenshot).
  5. Select Submit, or finish the online payment, to see "Your registration was successful."
  6. Come back to the same link any time to edit or withdraw, if the organizer allows it.

Every field, explained

Choose who registers

  • Select a profile and fill the form to join the auction

    Required

    Every profile on your mobile number is listed. Pick the person who is playing. Families can register several players from one number, one profile at a time.

    • You must be logged in first. Opening the link signed out asks you to log in with your mobile number (see the login and profiles guide).
    • The form fills in from the profile you pick, and saving the form also updates that profile.

  • (Already Registered)

    Optional

    Shown under a profile that is already in this auction. Picking it opens your existing registration instead of a new form, so you cannot register the same profile twice.

  • Add Profile

    Optional

    Creates a new profile, for example for a family member, and then opens the form for it.

Fill in the form

  • Profile Picture

    Required

    Your photo on the player card, the auction page and the live auction screen. Filled in from your profile if it has one.

    • Use a clear, front-facing photo. Large images are compressed when uploaded.

  • Mobile Number

    Required

    Filled in from the number you logged in with. It cannot be changed on this form.

  • Date of Birth

    Required

    Your date of birth, used by the organizer for age rules.

    • Format DD/MM/YYYY.

  • Next

    Optional

    Moves to the next step. The organizer may have added their own steps and questions (for example a club, a preferred format or a document upload); they work like the default fields.

    • Next checks the current step. Missing answers show "Please fill in all required fields before proceeding".
    • Previous goes back a step without losing your answers.

Pay the fee

  • Payment Mode

    Required

    How you will pay the registration fee. Appears on the last step only when the organizer charges players a fee, and lists only the methods they turned on. Cash: submit now and pay the organizer in person. Online: pay by card or UPI in Razorpay checkout. Scanner: pay the organizer’s UPI QR code in your own app and upload a screenshot.

    • Submitting without one shows "Payment Mode is required".
    • Free auctions have no payment step: you just select Submit.

  • Organizer UPI ID

    Optional

    With Scanner, the amount to pay, the organizer’s UPI ID (with a copy button) and their QR code. Tap the QR to see it full screen.

  • Upload Payment Screenshot

    Required

    With Scanner, upload a screenshot of your successful UPI payment so the organizer can check it.

    • Required for Scanner. Without it, Submit shows "Please complete all highlighted fields to continue".
    • Wait for "Payment screenshot uploaded successfully!" before you submit.

  • Proceed to Payment

    Optional

    Replaces Submit when you choose Online. It opens Payment Terms first; select Proceed to go to Razorpay checkout for the fee.

    • You are registered only after the payment succeeds.
    • If the payment fails or you close checkout, you return to the form with "Payment failed. Please try again." and your answers kept.

  • Payment Terms

    Optional

    Online payments go straight to the organizer. Refunds and payment problems are handled by them, not The 12th Men.

    • Select Cancel to go back to the form without paying.

  • Submit

    Optional

    Sends your registration (Cash, Scanner or a free auction).

After you register

  • Edit Player Details

    Optional

    Reopens the form with your answers so you can correct them, then saves the changes.

    • Only shown when the organizer allows players to edit their registration.

  • Withdraw Registration

    Optional

    Removes you from the auction after you confirm. It cannot be undone; to take part again you register again.

    • Only shown when the organizer allows players to withdraw.

  • Register Another Player

    Optional

    Goes back to the profile picker so you can register another profile on your number.

  • View Auction Details

    Optional

    Opens the auction page, where you can see the registered players and teams.

Common mistakes

  • "Player registration is closed" ("The registration deadline has passed.") means the deadline has passed. Only the organizer can extend it. Select View Auction Details to see the auction instead.
  • "Player registration isn't open for this auction" means the organizer has not opened (or has closed) the link. Ask them to turn it on.
  • Each profile registers once. To register a family member on the same number, use Register Another Player or Add Profile.
  • With Cash, you are registered straight away but your payment shows as pending until the organizer marks it paid. Pay them before the auction.
  • With Online, do not close the app during checkout. If the payment fails, open the link again: your answers are kept and you can retry.
